Assignment 7

For Tuesday read chapters 16 and 18 in Boler and the next 50 or so pages in Rebooting America.

Next week we will talk about the Twitter experiment. We will also continue discussing the readings from today (chapter 11 in Boler, the first 46 pages of Rebooting America, and the last two chapters of Rebooting America). During one class we will divide into groups to come up with visions of a rebooted US system. During another class we will work in groups to create quick powerpoint presentations of the key ideas and questions the readings raise.

For those who do the Twitter experiment, try to blog about it before Tuesday. I also hope to see blogposts from everyone that relate to the readings. Since the chapters from Boler focus on the 2004 election, you might ask yourself how the current election is similar or different (at least one of the class blogs has already started discussing this, introducing the example of the Alaskan blogger who blogged about Sarah Palin).
