Palin's Email Hacked

POL363: "This fits in very nicely with what we have been discussing the past few classes, and it relates to what some of us are focusing on. Apparently a group of Hackers managed to access a Yahoo email account used by the Alaskan VP Nominee. Screenshots of email messages and photos were taken and posted on the web for anyone to see. What is particularly interesting to look at is how the different news websites are reporting the story. Of course, Fox News.com had it as their number one story as of 7:30pm today. CNN had it at #5, the New York Times had the story at #2 on their Politics Page, but not on their main page. The washington post had the story at #3. Though there are many other News websites that I could have looked at, these were the first to jump into my head. The Website Gawker.com is the website displaying the emails and has a list of Gov. Palin's contacts, as well as pictures of her family and a few email messages supposedly related to the 'Trooper Gate.' The website now claims that Sarah Palin is guilty of obstruction of justice because the email account has been deleted along with the messages. the question now is how will this effect the investigation of 'Trooper Gate?' Does the fact that the account was deleted prove that there was some wrong doing? Or is the evidence even still valid after the account was hacked?"
