Fear, apathy, or just plain busy?

Is there a fear of making a mistake, a fear of error? Is there a fear of being alone, an individual, singled out, not part of the group? Is there a fear of doing something new? Of risk? Of getting in over your head?

Try? There is no try. Do or do not. Don't ask permission. Take it. It's yours. With apologies to Yoda.

Why bother? Why not? What else is there?

Conversations are going on. Are you in? Are they (just) a game? Who's listening? Who's barging in to your conversations? Who's judging? Can you break the rules if there aren't any?

If work is play then play is work. Even our play has been expropriated by the man (which is why it might be time to think about the game). Even our hopes, dreams, and authentic voices are just ways for some guys to increase their stock valuations.

There is a general fear of being wrong or making a mistake. The big question of "risk?" Whether to take a risk and even if that, how big of a one. I personally do not feel I am being judged all the time, however I am not much of a risk taker.
